ABOUT THE SEMINAR:
This seminar explores factors affecting brain health and neurodegeneration, including neuroinflammation from excitotoxicity (e.g., food preservatives, electromagnetic pollution) and genetic predisposition (e.g., the Alzheimer's gene and Apolipoprotein E). It covers the impact of omega-3 to omega-6 ratios, insulin resistance, high-carb diets, and beta amyloid plaques, as well as the importance of whole food nutrition, vitamin D, trace minerals, and thyroid function. It also reviews key lab markers (HA1C, hsCRP, Homocysteine, TSH, Vitamin D) and their connection to brain health. Finally, emerging therapies like herbal remedies, ketogenic diets, autophagy, and intermittent fasting show promise for improving cognitive function.
